Lockport, NY is famous for its contribution to the Erie Canal. It is home to the Flight of Five which are the original double canal levels that boats travel as the water rises and lowers.
You can take a boat ride to experience and see how the canal works at Locks #34 and 35, or walk along the trails. The sight is breathtaking no matter what view you are looking at.
