Freedom Park or formely known as Broderick Park, is located at the Foot of Ferry in Buffalo, NY's west side neighborhood. This park is on a small island divided by the Buffalo Sewage Plant and Unity Island.
Freedom Park was renamed because runaway African slaves traveled to freedom by crossing the Niagara River via the Black Rock Ferry. There are several Underground Railroad stops throughout WNY and Buffalo.
